Haddon Heights

Haddon Heights.

Offering residents a small-town lifestyle near the city of Philadelphia, Haddon Heights is a well-known and fast-growing town in Southern New Jersey. Spread throughout 1.5 square miles, this town is filled with restaurants, coffee shops, parks, and more for over 7500 residents to enjoy.

Activities

Haddon Heights creates a beautiful harmony of colonial architecture and modern-day living. Alongside the homes with charming colonial features, there is an energetic atmosphere full of activities for residents and visitors alike to appreciate. Enjoy a variety of recreational activities on Devon Ave with five tennis courts, public basketball court, and soccer fields used for town events and casual play. Travel along Kings Highway to experience a variety of dining options from Asian cuisine to high end Italian and even classic pizzerias. Support the many small businesses by strolling down Station Ave, especially on every Sunday from May to November where the Haddon Heights Farmers Market takes place. A local group, Heights In Progress, shuts down the main street to host festivals to the downtown area.

There are so many ways to lean into this special town and connect with everything Haddon Heights has to offer. From the Haddon Heights Neighbors Community Bonfire every October to outdoor family movie nights on Station Ave hosted by the local public library – there is always something for everyone.

Schools

The Haddon Heights School District serves students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. The 3 public elementary schools are in different areas of town making them walkable for students. Once students transition to the junior/senior high school, they are joined by students from the nearby towns of Barrington, Lawnside, and Merchantville. The school district partakes in a Safe Routes to School program that has a goal of making the walking and biking routes to its schools safer and more accessible for students.

Transportation

With convenient access to public transit, residents can travel all around New Jersey with ease. With the PATCO Speedline station just two miles away, it’s a quick trip to and from Center City Philadelphia for work, or for a day or evening in the town. Minutes away from the NJ Turnpike, US-130, or I-295 makes driving throughout the region a seamless experience.
