Haddonfield

Known as one of the oldest communities established in New Jersey, Haddonfield has grown to be one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the area. Founded in 1713, this historic and walkable downtown is home to just over eleven thousand residents and a dinosaur skeleton named Hadrosaurus. The statue of Hadrosaurus, known as “Haddy,” which was the first nearly intact complete dinosaur skeleton found in the world, joins other iconic town statues located on Kings Highway including Ballerina, The Mailman, Low-Poly Open Heart, “Steadfast and Loyal,” and many more.

Activities

Blending colonial architecture with modern vibes, Kings Highway in downtown Haddonfield is filled with a plethora of shops and restaurants. The town offers a variety of clothing boutiques, gift shops, and diverse dining options to entertain every taste. Locals especially love the wine tastings at Heritage Winery and the laid-back atmosphere of Kings Road Brewery.

The Haddonfield Farmers Market is a family-friendly experience in Kings Court every Saturday from May to October, rain or shine. Visitors can find vendors offering local produce, flowers, crafts, food, and drinks. Haddonfield’s Candlelight Shopping is also a highly-anticipated and celebrated event that occurs Friday evenings between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Stroll along Haddonfield’s wide tree-lined streets to fully admire everything this community has to offer; from its unique art installments to the intricate architecture displayed throughout the neighborhoods. The Haddonfield Sculpture Zoo is an outdoor art display with works from artists around the world including Ndotto, Tumi, Sea Lion, Toad, and Rabbit.

The town currently has a traffic campaign called “Haddonfield Drives 25” to promote safety along its streets by instilling a 25mph speed limit for all Haddonfield roadways.
