Are you ready to get in the holiday spirit? The festive holiday season is truly meant for enjoying beautiful light shows, sipping on warm hot chocolate, and spending time with family and friends. Check out our list of holiday activities below to take part in the many fun events happening within our area!

Haddonfield Candlelight Shopping

One of our area’s most anticipated traditions, Haddonfield Candlelight Shopping is perfect for getting all of your holiday shopping complete, while spending time with the family. There are carriages available to ride, live entertainers to listen to, and festive decor to experience. The event goes through December 17th. Click here to find out more.

Purchase Your Christmas Tree at Linvilla Orchards

Linvilla Orchards turns into a Winter Wonderland for the holiday season offering many activities for the entire family. You can take a hayride to cut down your own Christmas tree, with 40,000 gorgeous trees to choose from, or you can purchase one of their pre-cut trees to decorate your home. Stop by to say hello to Santa and his elves, then, visit the barnyard to see animals and buy seasonal gifts and toys. Keep in mind some activities require a timeslot ticket. The Nutcracker at the Academy of Music

A wonderful holiday classic returns to the ballet this December. The Nutcracker brings holiday tunes to the stage, and if you go on opening night, tickets start at just $10! If you’re looking to visit later in the season, tickets can be purchased for $25. This show is available at the Philadelphia Ballet from December 10th-31st. To purchase tickets, please click here

Medford Dickens Festival on Main Street

This fun event offers holiday carolers, amazing food, and tasty hot chocolate. There will be magic, comedy, juggling, and live presentations. This family-friendly attraction is perfect for guests of all ages. Stop by on December 4th from 4:30 to 9 pm. For more information click here.

Light Show Hayrides at Johnson’s Farm 

Johnson’s Farm is full of family-friendly activities, your kids will be sure to love! You can go on hayrides and enjoy the thousands of beautiful twinkling lights in their light show, roast s’mores by fire pits, decorate Christmas cookies, and even buy a fresh-cut Christmas tree. LumiNature at the Philadelphia Zoo

See the Philadelphia Zoo turn into a Winter Wonderland with an incredible light show. Not only do visitors enjoy the zoo’s many amazing animals, but there will be 14 unique light displays for entertainment. They will have hot chocolate, s’mores, and adult beverages for sale. Deck the Alley

Enjoy Christmas tree displays and festive decor, while getting a glimpse of the 21st-century lifestyle in some of the city’s most historic homes. Taking place on the oldest residential street in Philadelphia’s, attendees can go in and out of some of the city’s most charming townhomes while enjoying carolers. Deck the Alley is on December 4th between 3 pm and 5 pm. Social distancing will be practiced. For more information, please click here

Christmas in Love Park

This beautiful Christmas Village is modeled after traditional holiday markets in Germany. Wooden booths are set up for holiday shopping, offering delicious food options, sweet treats, and festive lights. Lights will be up in Love Park until December 24th. Ice Skating in Philly

A classic holiday activity that is fun for both experienced and first-time skaters. Reservations are highly recommended for 90-minute sessions and tickets can be purchased in advance. This ice skating rink will be set up through February 27th at Dilworth Park. The address is 1 S. 15th St (West Side of City Hall) Philadelphia, PA. For more information, please click here.

WinterFest Ice Skating on the Cooper – NJ

Cooper River Park has once again transformed into a winter wonderland with tasty treats and ice skating family fun! WinterFest is the perfect place to spend your holiday nights skating with friends and family. For those less nimble, enjoy the rink by watching world-class ice skating performers.
